Techno, hard-core, and a scene

This is a more techno-ish song then new wave, but that's no big deal here. The instruments in my opinion were very much like a lot of other techno songs on NewGrounds, meaning they're ok but not exceptional.
Then the song had a hard-core feel to it, and that's probably resulting in the powerful instruments. I wasn't very fond of the oriental instruments that come in at 1:10, I don't really like them in general, but in this case it didn't go much with the song's feeling, so I'de consider them useless, but then you're the author here, so you decide what to do (of course).
So, we got techno, a hard-core feeling to it... That should be enough to make a good scene:
A police inspector in his late 40s decides to go to the city's most hard-core and dangerous night clubs in order to keep an eye on it's owners; the mob.
He comes in, keeping his trench coat on him, which sets him appart from all the club's trendy clients. The loud music fills his ears, giving him a headache, he slowly walks torwards the counter, and orders a pure vodka, the drink that's keeping him an alcolholic. When it arrives, he drinks it in a shot, and orders another. He notices the owners, sitting down at the back of the club, talking buisness with other mobsters... He knows he's taking a risk coming here, those people know him, they know what he's capable of, and he knows they're capable of gunning him down this instant... But they don't...
He takes a hold of his desert eagle, but then lets go and says to himself: "Not here, not now, and surely not today...". He then orders another pure vodka...
There you go bud, enjoy!

Wow, thank you! Obviously not what I had in mind at first, which is entirely a good thing. Merry Christmas!

More inspirational then professional

Quite a cool song to jam out to, it's really fun, there is alot going on and all... But then I wouldn't necessarily call it professional, mostly because the part at 1:20 sounds sorta fucked up. The sound isn't that great, and it seems that you just went crazy without really being careful at what you were doing. But hey, appart all that, it was a real fun song, and it also really goes with the title, a fight scene is probably in fact the only thing you could picture with this lol.
Before describing my scene and all, I would suggest for improvements to not go too harshly on your guitar, maybe try and find a way to get slightly better sound quality (although it's generaly ok), and to keep calm even on the active parts like at 1:20, that's what I recommend.
So here goes the scene;
(0:00 - 0:15) Out in the desert, on the side of a road, lays a bar. And by the time the clock rings 1 A.M., hords of bikers appear from everywhere. Some come from Florida, others from California. The thing is, they don't come just to get a simple beer... As soon as all those bikers show up, the bar gets more lively than usual, it becomes an illegal fighting ring.
(0:16 - ) The competitors take off their leather jackets and their dirty shirts, and the bloody violent fights begin... As for the competitors, I'm not talking about pretty boys like brad pitt here... I'm talking about huge, muscular, greasy, bearded bikers. Bikers that fight like ogres when upon the ring, that use their own fits until they're entirely scarred, or that use metallic poles to break skulls or knock out your teeth... And from time to time, even empty beer bottles... The fighters rage one against the other, some of them even get ejected through the back door. The fights can get so rough that the walls end up shaking. Pieces of glass fly here and there, same as blood stains that splash on the ground or against the walls. This barbarian game goes on until 6 A.M., where the scarred bikers ride back home. But the next day, at 1 A.M., the same game will start again...
Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Great going, man!
ive been meaning to remake the song, (the end part gets really loud)

A real fun song!

I said you were up, so here it goes;
For the review, I personally think DnB is quite easy to listen to, so it's enjoyable. But like bonuses, you're song is greatly executed, well mastered, unlike a lot of DnB who go crazy and end up out of control and ear bleeding. It could have been a little longer maybe, I would have liked to listen to more... I like the fact that this song has quite a happy feel to it, I guess I could say it makes me happy... obviously... Plus the title has the word "happy" in it...
Now as for the scene, like the song is a little different from what I create scenes from, the scene is not like my usual thing:
Saturday night, a teen joins a group of friends to a late night party. They arrive at the place, ready to have fun, they start with a few beers, then alcohol, and continue with a few joints, and things get a little crazier... All at once, the music's beat seems faster, louder, the room twirls around, the floor looks like it's moving, people seem to be floating gently, colors look brighter and burn his eyes... But even with all that psychadelic activity, people are happy, this is the party, this is HappyStep.
That makes me want to try listening to this song while being stoned at a party, should be very fun heheh...
Hope you enjoyed this, and I'll be sure to listen to your other stuff.
Cheers,

Power and violence

Your songs are clearly better when you concentrate on epic hip-hop with orchestral instruments rather than your trance songs.
When I say this song is epic, I mean it's one of the most epic songs I've heard since Zajed. For me this is an Enormous Problematic Industructible Chaos, the power this song brings is huge, enormous... The choice of instruments is very well made compared to some of your other songs. The horns that start at 0:41 are so powerful, they practicaly bring the epic side to this song by themselves, there's something in them that brings upon it absolute power and violence (that's a good name for a song, "absolute power and violence"). Yeah for sure, those horns are invading by themselves... But non-the-less, the other instruments are very good aswell, well mastered, quite powerful and emotional for most of them.
I can easily make up a scene with it:
In a city filled with futuristic and high-tech, but dark and cold looks, destruction is about to begin... Not by fire, war or the A-bomb, but by the simple insanity carried upon each of us. We keep it so deep down inside, struggling to hide it, that when it bursts out, no one can control it. It only takes one man to make that moment come, and at that moment, not even the highest of security will survive. This madness will only leave death behind. The tall, futuristic looking sky scrappers made of glass will shatter and fall to the ground, creating a rain of broken glass all around the city. This is madness created by the madness of man, this is the invasion.
Hope you enjoyed the scene.
Cheers,

Tha gangsta's are breakin' out!

This song is quite hot shit man.
The siren effect at the beggining was a real good touch, and the horns after it were beast, giving the song a real a real kick-ass impression. And the melody put together with most of the instruments was really good. But there were a few instruments which I wasn't exactly fond of, like the flute, which was ok, quite cool, but I dunno if it was needed in this song, and same thing for the freestyle strings, they didn't feel necessary in my opinion.
And thing I really liked in this song, and I always enjoy in songs, is the sound effects you added, like the chain, the siren, the gun fight... Those really added a cinematographic feeling to this song, and that's great.
Talking about cinematographic, I picture some gangstas escaping from jail, but not leaving without a fight... The strings show their exitement, the horns reveal their violence... They're ready to wage war tonight, ready to make blood splash on the walls of those cold prison corridors. Upon leaving the building, they can only see the enormous wall surrounding the facility, unless god is ready to help; they're going torwards they're death. A projector reveals their location, the gun shots start, and soon enough, they cover the siren and that's all we hear...

Keep the gangstas alive my man,

Heyo, it's an old track man. I wasn't good as I am now. Thanks for your comment I appreciate it, PEACE !

Merry mother fuckin' christmas

Dude, Santa's goin' gangsta lol! It's funny how your usual "saw" synths (0:42) or whatever work extremely well on this song, it works good with your usual songs, but with this one it gives it a real "mother fuckin' gangsta" feeling to it, probably the fact you mixed a calm piano piece with a violent synth, hip-hop beat, your the expert, you tell me. This is the sort of song, which I really like, but doesn't create any scenes in my head unless if I really dig deep, but it's more fun when a song naturaly creates a scene in my head without me digging (like your song "Dooby", remember that one...? =P).
I would'nt go on a 10/10 because, althought I really like this song, first I like to get critical =P, and second, it's not like one of those songs that make me wanna jump out to sky and scream, but don't worry, your Karousel usually do that to me.
That's all from me dude, keep Santa a gangsta!

An inspiring song

It definitively has an awesome trailer feeling to it, I bet you could fit scenes from "The Road" to this song perfectly for instince. Even though I never really liked all the zombie type stuff, I must admit this song is absolutly fantastic, and it doesn't only fit the zombie feeling, even though that's what it fits most of all, you could use this for most dark bloody thrillers. The guitars are kick ass in this song, even though it's sort of is your job to make the guitars that good =P. It's amazing how simple guitars and ambiant sounds alone make such an awesome, creepy rock song.
This for sure is one of those songs that help me create scenes so easily. With this one I can see scenes with this guy, wearing dark torn clothes, a desert eagle in his right hand, holding a sniper with his left hand, a machine gun behind him. Walking the dark, spacious, empty streets filled with dust and debris. He goes on the roof tops of the last remaining buildings to see the deserted, yet populated landscape. Close up of his lit up face when he lights his smoke. We can read on his face the difficult moments he has lived until now, and what he knows he has yet to overcome. At 2:18 he burns down an entire building by himself with the help of gasoline, burning the trapped infected ones inside, hate fills his face as much as joy when the fire reflects in his eyes and when he hears the screams coming from what is now a carcass made of ashes...
You can imagine the rest... Keep kicking ass Evil-Dawg, you we're born to do this.

Damn I love the scene you described haha so badass, thanks for the very good comment dude, keep kicking ass yourself, you got very good music

Professional work you got here

This mix between glitch and electronic you make reminds me both of Boards of Canada and Doki. What's so cool with this song is the calm background melody with some glitchy static parts in front which make a great contrast. Your work sounds really professional, I like the dreamy atmosphere you gave this song, sounds so much like Boards of Canada. Your mastering is perfect, great rhythm, perfect melodies, you made this song perfect.

The Delinquent v.s. the Freak

OK, let's try to be constructive here,
overall it's not bad really, but there's some goods and bads...
for instince, the beat sounds alot like in your other songs and it's really good, I love it, the strings are also really well mastered. Same for the rythm it's good, I like it.
As for the bad side, mostly consists of the voice sample, it's ok, but not that great, and then it gets really repetitive, I know you like things repeated, and depending on whats repeated it could be good, as well as not good. In this case I didn't really enjoy it... And maybe another detail that makes me prefer Warspawns entry, is that yours sounds alot like all your other beats, whereas in Warspawn's song, the feeling it gives during the guitar and voice sample part, is VERY unique, thats what makes it cool.
So, I'm going to say that I prefer Warspawn's, even though your's overall is not bad.
None the less, keep making your music, I love it,

This song is f**king great

It's funny, because you really have a pattern of your own; a song composed of two different parts that show up one by one in an indentical way. I agree with the only person behind me, it sounds a bit spooky, but with an injection of Hip/Hop, which gives it a dark epic feeling, thats how I would describe it best. I would tend to agree again for the film remark, but like all of your other songs that I've liked all the way till now, I picture your songs better IN the film in the middle of the action. This review is more based on the feeling this song gives rather than how its made because basicly all your songs are allways built in a similar manner, but what the hell, that's called a review aswell, so I'm done here.

S-Rock responds:

haha Nice :D yeah it's a Bit spooky eh!? Nice. Well I appreciate the Review :D tyvvvm

Making parodys is easy, inventing something new and creative, that's something else.
