I don't remember much from n°1...

But this one was pretty neat... I think one of the best points of this animation was the variety of character design, you have absolutly NO character that is a blank normal Madness character, and the three protagonists are absolutly the coolest out of all the characters in this episode. So that's one out of several good points...
Another main, and probably the best point, is the fights with Xero; the fabulous fight in the dark where you only see his outline and a few details, and mostly the blood which is omnipresent absolutly every second of that scene. And then we also have another really cool fight, with Xero again, in the air! That was just pure awesomness, it was just so cool when you would see him, I guess you could say "jump" in the air, slashing through I dunno how many dozens of guys and blowing up helicopters, that was something...
I'm not exactly found of the girl, you could almost say she had nothing in common with Madness, and I didn't particuly find her desert eagle reference funny... sorry, just didn't...
However what I did find humorous was Omega's "Well, this is unconvenient" line, and of course: the spy's card game brutaly finished... Now that was really good, seriously...
One last point is the music: honestly I found it kind of bland and too "off" (to give the real proffesional term) it just didn't give the punch that it could have, I mean when you look at flash films like Mindchambers 2008 Madness, the music is one of the best parts...
I think that sort of cover ups what I needed to say and notify.

I liked it...

I thought that sometimes graphicly with the drawing styles and all, sometimes it was really good, but what I didn't like graphicly was the way you drew Jesus; his head was way too ovale shaped, and sometimes had and ugly grimacing look, now I dunno if that was on purpose or not, just didn't like it that much.
But otherwise, graphicly it was really cool, when you animated the other characters for instince, or when the smith gets flown away, that was also cool, but the best part was how you drew AND animated the dark flaming guy (what ever his name is). Certain scenes with him we're so cool, just so cool.
The rest of the drawings, the backgrounds in this case, weren't bad at all, when all the building debris getting totally torn appart was nicely done for instince.
The song itself was really good, I really liked it, and I think that it's quite an unusual choice for a Madness movie (although here it was more of music video) but it suited the environment really well, no, more than that, PERFECTLY.
Another point that was kind of unusual for the context of the Madness serie, was that it was obvious that you used alot of biblic refrences, the cross, and the crown of thorns which you animated in a unique and superbe style.
And although people might think like that; I'm no fanboy of Mindchamber or anything, I just enjoyed this music video.

, I agree to at times I made him very ugly... maybe its something subconscious?

thanks for the review

Nice plot!

I kinda liked the gangster style plot with the imposters and sniper dealerships...etc. The graphic style was very Madness style, resulting in it being good, characters were good aswell. It was pretty cool to hear voices in there too, you don't hear that often... I also have to note that there sure was alot of chain reaction, erm... action... Especialy the sniper *headshot* scenes, problem was it didn't feel to real, I mean seemed more like a target practice than an ambush to me, feel what I'm sayin'?
Yeah that was a real big problem in this flash, too unrealistic, still, you have certain types of unrealistic actions that are fun, even very fun to watch (see Smiley -Battle for Smokes) but this wasn't the case here, resulting in the imposters looking way to dumb to do anything, I mean look, this is the situation: you've got at least 6 guys coming for only one protagonist, and like one fires and the rest just follows behind until they all get they're heads blown off.
And I mean that sure is quite a problem, because people are like "Yeeeeaah, riiiiiiight", don't get me wrong man, luckly it doesn't last too long, buuuut you just don't believe it, and here on Newgrounds, we want to believe (I know I just took that from X-Files).
Seriously man, I believe in you, I mean the plot situation, ambiance, all that turned out great, so keep moving on,

Alpha-Nuva responds:

Yeah, I agree. I blew at the realistic fighting. I kinda wanted to get the fighting done early to ensure I had time for the rest of the toon.

The sniper scene however was supposed to be like a shooting range. Giovanni caught the ambushers off guard. He had them in his range, but they had no idea where he was shooting from until many had died. I also had limited possibilities with a sniping scene, so I couldn't really do anything special.

Play Madness version?

I thought it was kind of cool and original to try a Play movie but madness version, and turned out pretty cool, I don't know what exactly happened graphicly, but it was quite low, even really low, you could tell yourself that it's a certain style, but not in this case, no sir, I think it killed a bit of fun from this movie.
Otherwise what I found cool was several characters appearing on the screen at the same time, it was pretty cool. The song was cool aswell, acctualy it was as cool as the Play songs, sounds creating a song which means it came from nothing, and it's not bad, you just can't really feel a real song, a beat or rythm (sorry, have no idea how to spell that).
So that's that, and this was my opinion,

I don't really know how to say it,

otherwise than it was hilarious. seriously, the first scenes are just the best; from the scared guard to the smiths glasses falling down, it just makes you burst out laughing. I also just love the graphic style you used, that kind of slick, shiny feeling you gave the characters turned out great with Dr.Seruzies attitude, went just perfectly.
I think the first paragonx9 song you used went better with the animation rather than the second one, but well it's just my opinion, so I'm not surprised if you say "So?".
But something is bothering me, the three holes on his face in that cell makes me believe that only he could have inflicted that to himself with his fork, so it makes me wonder, what happened to the slash he received from the robot? Or was it all imagination after the experiences disoriented his mind? I really don't know and I won't think about it.
I really enjoyed watching the first hilarious scenes with that special graphic from you, I seriously think that out of everyone that tried a different graphic style, yours is the best, of course it is really similiar to the originals but at the same time, you feel the difference.

Alienslushie responds:

You're on the right track. Very very close If not SPOILED IT, nah lol. Thanks for the feedback.

Uh huh...

Ok sure, well I do like graphicly what you did, I mean you animated your characters quite well, exept way too short, and what the hell was that ending, you really can't be serious man...
That's basiclly all, I mean theres not much to say is there? It's short, but animated quite well, the blood colors we're sort of...strange though, I really have to point that out, also, the plot, well there wasn't any plot was there? And that doesn't make the movie very interesting, if you call this a movie rather than a "short" short.

Madness in the world of "I am Legend"

What can I say?
Madness in the world and environnment of "I am Legend" turns out super scary. The whole thing was Horrible, I mean the film was awesome, but it had a horribly great ambiance, too perfect, you so much don't want to be there. The first scene most of all was the scariest for sure... I mean that guy yelling in his microphone "Hello! Anyone there!?" and with the background music was so... How can I say it... Stressful, and that proves that you've done it perfectly.
The choice of music was perfect, I'm probably gonna look into it after I make this review, because I really like the choice of rock sometimes.
All the protagonists were really cool, Nick for instince, it's rare that you see madness characters with hair...
I can't even start to imagine what the ambiance of the second episode must be like in a jungle type area with dead guys all around.
I also have to point out your backgrounds, they we're really cool, all the busted cars laying around the entier city was quite something, no wonder it lagged each time we would see an entier scene WITHOUT characters moving along. Another about the lag in this flash, yes it did lag quite often but it's not too bothering acctually since the scene never last to long...
I guess it's about it, but geez that movie did leave on hell of a cool shiver behing my back...*brrr*

What can I say?

Seriously, with all the "camera" movements and all, we couldn'y even see what was going on, so I barely saw this flash film pass by...
Another point is that all those asses poping out; well, they were totally useless, and had a gay feeling to it as well, you could allmost consider this as a disrespect to Krinkels.
Action went by way to fast, seriously man, don't get exited when you make a flash film, see what happens? You can't see sh*t, and ya don't understand nothing! And I know I'm frank and all, but that's how it's gonna be...
Let's get more technial, than aggresive: colors were typical madness, but I really didn't like all the character movements and style, it was a style that definitivly didn't fit the madness series.
The music, I don't like the indian singing type stuff, and it fitted the movie, resulting in a manner that made you want to click on a X, but it went so fast, I didn't even have time to do that
That's it I said it, now I really have to avoid this kind of flash.

GX3

You sure didn't waste your time there

That was totally awesome, I know nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is even gonna see this review, but I still writing it (as you can see below...):
It really had a hardcore action feeling to it, mostly with the music, I must say, the music sure tied the whole thing up together, really hardcore and action packed for sure.
I agree with all the other guys it's just great, and compared to others, I don't think it's to short, it's just perfect. It's quite unexpected to see this bum-like person shoot everybody matris style, an unusual protagonist for sure... But for all the other guys (so obviosly, all the ennemies...) we didn't find any originality, but seriously it's allways fun to see the Smith family getting blown appart isin't it?
As you probably noticed I'm a REAL madness fan, and it's allways great to see someone making it live, you find madness cr*p, like probably I would do for now, and then you got you people who create them and make those protagonists breathe, and makes us dream.

Totally out of control, and a whole lot of fun

Startin out from a silly, kinda classic flash, and ending up into a total freak show, was a whole lot of fun... The character wasn't the real fun of this flash, it was probably more the unrealistic action, and escapes from the police, cars flying into the air, and helicopters crashing around. That, was the real fun... It also manages to keep you stuck to the screen the entire time with the exact same enthousiasme, which proves that somehow, it's not exactly repetitive so that's a really good point for an animation like this, because if it was, your flash would have ended up much more boring...
Keep it up, it was a real pleasure watching this,
