Techno, hard-core, and a scene

This is a more techno-ish song then new wave, but that's no big deal here. The instruments in my opinion were very much like a lot of other techno songs on NewGrounds, meaning they're ok but not exceptional.
Then the song had a hard-core feel to it, and that's probably resulting in the powerful instruments. I wasn't very fond of the oriental instruments that come in at 1:10, I don't really like them in general, but in this case it didn't go much with the song's feeling, so I'de consider them useless, but then you're the author here, so you decide what to do (of course).
So, we got techno, a hard-core feeling to it... That should be enough to make a good scene:
A police inspector in his late 40s decides to go to the city's most hard-core and dangerous night clubs in order to keep an eye on it's owners; the mob.
He comes in, keeping his trench coat on him, which sets him appart from all the club's trendy clients. The loud music fills his ears, giving him a headache, he slowly walks torwards the counter, and orders a pure vodka, the drink that's keeping him an alcolholic. When it arrives, he drinks it in a shot, and orders another. He notices the owners, sitting down at the back of the club, talking buisness with other mobsters... He knows he's taking a risk coming here, those people know him, they know what he's capable of, and he knows they're capable of gunning him down this instant... But they don't...
He takes a hold of his desert eagle, but then lets go and says to himself: "Not here, not now, and surely not today...". He then orders another pure vodka...
There you go bud, enjoy!

Wow, thank you! Obviously not what I had in mind at first, which is entirely a good thing. Merry Christmas!

More inspirational then professional

Quite a cool song to jam out to, it's really fun, there is alot going on and all... But then I wouldn't necessarily call it professional, mostly because the part at 1:20 sounds sorta fucked up. The sound isn't that great, and it seems that you just went crazy without really being careful at what you were doing. But hey, appart all that, it was a real fun song, and it also really goes with the title, a fight scene is probably in fact the only thing you could picture with this lol.
Before describing my scene and all, I would suggest for improvements to not go too harshly on your guitar, maybe try and find a way to get slightly better sound quality (although it's generaly ok), and to keep calm even on the active parts like at 1:20, that's what I recommend.
So here goes the scene;
(0:00 - 0:15) Out in the desert, on the side of a road, lays a bar. And by the time the clock rings 1 A.M., hords of bikers appear from everywhere. Some come from Florida, others from California. The thing is, they don't come just to get a simple beer... As soon as all those bikers show up, the bar gets more lively than usual, it becomes an illegal fighting ring.
(0:16 - ) The competitors take off their leather jackets and their dirty shirts, and the bloody violent fights begin... As for the competitors, I'm not talking about pretty boys like brad pitt here... I'm talking about huge, muscular, greasy, bearded bikers. Bikers that fight like ogres when upon the ring, that use their own fits until they're entirely scarred, or that use metallic poles to break skulls or knock out your teeth... And from time to time, even empty beer bottles... The fighters rage one against the other, some of them even get ejected through the back door. The fights can get so rough that the walls end up shaking. Pieces of glass fly here and there, same as blood stains that splash on the ground or against the walls. This barbarian game goes on until 6 A.M., where the scarred bikers ride back home. But the next day, at 1 A.M., the same game will start again...
Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Great going, man!
ive been meaning to remake the song, (the end part gets really loud)

A real fun song!

I said you were up, so here it goes;
For the review, I personally think DnB is quite easy to listen to, so it's enjoyable. But like bonuses, you're song is greatly executed, well mastered, unlike a lot of DnB who go crazy and end up out of control and ear bleeding. It could have been a little longer maybe, I would have liked to listen to more... I like the fact that this song has quite a happy feel to it, I guess I could say it makes me happy... obviously... Plus the title has the word "happy" in it...
Now as for the scene, like the song is a little different from what I create scenes from, the scene is not like my usual thing:
Saturday night, a teen joins a group of friends to a late night party. They arrive at the place, ready to have fun, they start with a few beers, then alcohol, and continue with a few joints, and things get a little crazier... All at once, the music's beat seems faster, louder, the room twirls around, the floor looks like it's moving, people seem to be floating gently, colors look brighter and burn his eyes... But even with all that psychadelic activity, people are happy, this is the party, this is HappyStep.
That makes me want to try listening to this song while being stoned at a party, should be very fun heheh...
Hope you enjoyed this, and I'll be sure to listen to your other stuff.
Cheers,

Power and violence

Your songs are clearly better when you concentrate on epic hip-hop with orchestral instruments rather than your trance songs.
When I say this song is epic, I mean it's one of the most epic songs I've heard since Zajed. For me this is an Enormous Problematic Industructible Chaos, the power this song brings is huge, enormous... The choice of instruments is very well made compared to some of your other songs. The horns that start at 0:41 are so powerful, they practicaly bring the epic side to this song by themselves, there's something in them that brings upon it absolute power and violence (that's a good name for a song, "absolute power and violence"). Yeah for sure, those horns are invading by themselves... But non-the-less, the other instruments are very good aswell, well mastered, quite powerful and emotional for most of them.
I can easily make up a scene with it:
In a city filled with futuristic and high-tech, but dark and cold looks, destruction is about to begin... Not by fire, war or the A-bomb, but by the simple insanity carried upon each of us. We keep it so deep down inside, struggling to hide it, that when it bursts out, no one can control it. It only takes one man to make that moment come, and at that moment, not even the highest of security will survive. This madness will only leave death behind. The tall, futuristic looking sky scrappers made of glass will shatter and fall to the ground, creating a rain of broken glass all around the city. This is madness created by the madness of man, this is the invasion.
Hope you enjoyed the scene.
Cheers,

Pure genius that sadly becomes static

OK...
So this is a little more interesting; I listened to this after listening to the 1st version, and that was a real big change, a lot of progress man, good job. The accordion was much more sick than in the 1st, the beat was more kick-ass, but I guess the accordion gets most credit for making this song a beast. So the song is really, and I mean REALLY good, until 1:20 where it gets a little more static and boring, theres not much more action going on, and that's too bad... So until 1:20 it's kick-ass, then it gets a bit boring, but the slight bit of guitar at 2:39 regave the song enough "punch" until the end, although not being as powerful as the beginning of the song.
And for some reason, in my opinion, something does sound "italian", probably the acordion, but if you think about it, accordion is also french, so we could say that it has a "french" feeling to it too.
The best part of the song was for sure the beginning until 0:41, before the beat becomes more "static", before then the beat was pure genius.
Good job on this man,

I like the gangsta feel you have in your songs

Man, this song is a kick-ass gangsta beat, it has a very synthetic instrument sound to it which gives a gangsta feel to this song. But I think I prefer the other sounds like the horns (or guitar, saxophone?) at 0:12 that give a much more funk feeling to it, I like it alot, it gives a more urban feeling in the air, like New York in the '70s, catch ma drift? And that makes quite a discrete but interesting mix; synthetic gangsta with '70s New York funk, quite interesting indeed... On both sides you managed to master the instruments relativaly well... I never really enjoy saying this when it comes to typicaly NG music because of course it's not amazing professional music, but hey; this is NewGrounds, and here, young creative people show what they have and what they can make, and I like it, so as I was saying: On both sides, you managed to master the instruments relativaly well.
This song makes me think of an entrance for a character, I can easily picture a scene where, at the end of a road, we see a man coming up, torwards us (the camera), the image is slightly blury. Then I can picture a few slow-motion scenes close to him, where you see him light a smoke, and take a breath out of it. Then, another possible scene; we follow a man dressed in a large trenchcoat and fedora sideways, in a certain way like this we can see the buildings to the man's right, which at 0:12, start blowing up in slow-motion, but the man just keeps walking calmly...
There goes my usual review, with the usual scene that goes with it,
Keep making this kind of music,

A sound between happiness and despair

"Black Mack 2" sounds like the name of a film heheh.
Man I can go ape shit on this song, it-is-SO-good! I love it, it's mastered extremely well, the instruments are beast like in most of your songs... But what I think is most interesting with this piece, is the fact that it carries two different feelings with it; happiness on one side, despair on the other.
The high pitched sounds (which I guess are strings) that start at the very beggining, and another that we briefly hear at 0:20, give a certain "gangsta happy" feel to it, quite cool! But for instince, other sounds like the horns that start at 0:06, or the more powerful horns that start at 0:11, give on the contrary a real desperate feeling to this song.
With those I picture a man with a boring, shit life; he got fired from his work, he can't pay his rent, his girlfriend left him, his father died and he's got to take care of the funeral... And one night, after spending hours in a bar, he falls on his knees, on the wet side walk, alone, looking up to the sky where millions of rain drops invade his face marked with despair... Wishing for something to happen, asking for something, without really knowing what that is...

Great song man, I suggest you keep making this kind of thing,

GX3

Tha gangsta's are breakin' out!

This song is quite hot shit man.
The siren effect at the beggining was a real good touch, and the horns after it were beast, giving the song a real a real kick-ass impression. And the melody put together with most of the instruments was really good. But there were a few instruments which I wasn't exactly fond of, like the flute, which was ok, quite cool, but I dunno if it was needed in this song, and same thing for the freestyle strings, they didn't feel necessary in my opinion.
And thing I really liked in this song, and I always enjoy in songs, is the sound effects you added, like the chain, the siren, the gun fight... Those really added a cinematographic feeling to this song, and that's great.
Talking about cinematographic, I picture some gangstas escaping from jail, but not leaving without a fight... The strings show their exitement, the horns reveal their violence... They're ready to wage war tonight, ready to make blood splash on the walls of those cold prison corridors. Upon leaving the building, they can only see the enormous wall surrounding the facility, unless god is ready to help; they're going torwards they're death. A projector reveals their location, the gun shots start, and soon enough, they cover the siren and that's all we hear...

Keep the gangstas alive my man,

No complaints

Once again, I'm blown away by your professionalism in your music.
The beginning sounded quite different from your song "What I Need", it was darker, but when the song followed it had it's "Alice in Chains/Mad Season" feeling again.
I really don't have much to say, you guys played very well, no complaints here, the two different melodies, both great, followed each other perfectly.
The second melody (1:02) was very well played, and was the "Alice in Chains" side to this song, I would have no problem believing that this was them, I swear.
But the first melody was my personal favorite, with it's dark, tough rock feeling to it, it's fantastic, I love it, and it's probably the more cinematographic side of this song, the side where you could fit scenes to it;
like some guy walking in a bar, slowly, slightly looking at the people starring at him, but he doesn't give a shit. He sits down at the counter, the bar lights reflect on his leather jacket, he orders a beer, no questions asked...
He takes off his big dark sun glasses, puts 'em down on the counter when his beer arrives. He tastes it, with the help of years and experience, he knows it's a damn fine one. He drinks the whole thing in a shot, puts it back down, five bucks with it. He leaves the counter, then the bar, sits on his harley davidson parcked outside, puts his american flag bandana back on, starts his engines, and is off to somewhere else, hoping to find a perfect place, he knows he'll never find such a place, but that doesn't prevent him from going on...

I see the second melody associated with when he leaves the bar. Hope you catch ma drift man, and keep making more of this music.

You are one of those who know what real rock is

At first I did not believe I was hearing something this good coming from NewGrounds. I agree with S-Rock, this does sound very professional, I could acctually believe I am hearing "Alice in Chains" or "Mad Season" right now, that's what hit me, it sounds so much like them.
If there's one thing which shows how professional you are; it's probably the singer, if he didn't sing this good, it probably wouldn't sound that great. He sounds so natural when singing, it gives a real big extra something to the song, an extra something that gives it a feeling of completion. I've heard a lot of rock here and there on NG, and maybe appart Evil-Dog for being quite talented on his guitar, and Karousel (S-Rock) for also being very professional (my personal favorite), rock on NG was never this great, always carrying a sense of amateurism and "not knowing what real rock is" with it, and it's disapointing really. And by listening to this song only, I can feel that you are one of those who know what good, real rock is, and that puts a fucking smile to my face. Thanks.
I absolutly loved that solo guitar part (1:25 and 3:06), it was fucking mind blowing, probably the kind of music that make me create scenes.
In this case, the story of this old, lone, violent biker riding around the U.S.A., with a feeling of alternative american rock (1:25 and 3:06) mixed with a feeling of country music like that film that's gonna come out "Crazy Heart". This old guy, riding on his harley davidson, going from bar to bar, from Ohio to Chicago to Detroit to New York...etc. Having a bar fight here, getting arrested there... That's become a habit for him...
That's just the feeling it gives me in general, you get the picture. I'll definitively check out ALL your music.
Keep going man,
